What is MFA Legalisation?
Certification by the Legalisation Division, Department of Consular Affairs, Thai Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
In detail
This is the mandatory middle step for Thai documents used abroad. The Department checks that the signature of the issuing officer, translator or certifying attorney matches its specimen records. Thai-language documents normally must be translated into English first, and the translation must match the original exactly or the file is returned for correction.
