In short

Many evaluators require records sent directly by the issuing institution in a sealed envelope; where a certified copy is allowed, it needs a notarial certificate and usually consular legalisation. Confirm the delivery method before ordering anything.

Academic files have an unusual failure mode: the documents are correct but the delivery channel is wrong. An evaluator that requires institution-to-institution delivery will not open a package sent by the applicant, however well certified.

Ask about delivery channel first

Options are typically sealed envelope direct from the registrar, secure electronic delivery, or applicant-submitted certified copies. Ordering transcripts before knowing which one applies is the most common wasted step.

Order the right records

Most evaluations need the degree certificate and the complete transcript with grading scale. Partial transcripts, unofficial printouts and student-portal screenshots are not accepted.

Translation standards

Translations must keep the grading scale, credit hours and course titles intact, and be bound to the certified copy. Name spellings must match the passport used on the application.

Legalisation where required

Employers, professional bodies and immigration authorities often want the consular chain even where the university itself does not. Ask both the evaluator and the ultimate end user, because their requirements can differ.

Frequently asked questions

My university has closed. What can I do?

Records normally transfer to a successor institution or the relevant ministry. We can help trace the custodian and obtain a certified record from that source.

Are electronic transcripts acceptable?

Increasingly yes, but only through the channel the evaluator names. A PDF forwarded by the applicant is generally treated as unverified.

Can your team handle the whole process for me?

Yes. Our practitioners review the file before submission, deal with the Thai authorities and the destination embassy on your behalf, and report back at each stage. Message LINE @Thainotary or call 094-895-8999 with a photo of what you already hold and the destination country, and we will map the correct chain for your case.

What should I prepare before the first consultation?

A scan or clear photo of every document you already have, the destination country and receiving authority, and the date you need the file ready. From that we can list the missing items, the correct order of certification, and an approximate window before any work starts.

Would you rather we handled it?

Our practitioners review the file, deal with the authorities and report at each stage. Call 094-895-8999 or message LINE @Thainotary.
