Accounting, tax & payroll
Bookkeeping, financial statements and year-end close
Our accountants provide monthly bookkeeping and prepare financial statements for limited companies, partnerships and SMEs under Thai Financial Reporting Standards (TFRS). The office prepares the books and audit-ready schedules; the audit opinion itself is issued by an independent licensed CPA, preserving auditor independence under the Accounting Act B.E. 2523.
Work we accept
- Monthly recording and review of accounting entries
- Bank, receivable, payable and inventory reconciliation
- Income statement, balance sheet, cash-flow and equity-statement preparation
- Year-end close and account carry-forward
- Depreciation, provision and end-of-period adjustment entries
- Audit-ready schedules and supporting documents for the independent CPA
- Complete ledger accounts under Section 12 of the Accounting Act B.E. 2523
What we do not do
- Issuing the audit opinion (performed only by an independent licensed CPA)
- Full-scale chart-of-accounts redesign for large organisations without a prior survey
- Making business decisions on behalf of management
Documents to prepare
- Copy of company/partnership registration certificate
- Source documents: receipts, tax invoices, bank slips, import-export records
- Lease, employment and material sale agreements
- Payroll register and payment evidence
- Latest trial balance (if any) or the existing ledger set
- Year-end inventory listing (if any)
How the work proceeds
1.Survey the current accounting setup
The accounting team reviews the existing ledger, accounting period and source documents to plan handover and identify gaps.
2.Set up and map the chart of accounts
We map the chart of accounts to the business and TFRS, and align it with tax filings such as PP.30 and PND.53.
3.Monthly recording and reconciliation
We post entries from source documents, reconcile bank, receivables, payables and inventory, then issue a monthly trial balance.
4.Year-end adjustments and statements
We post depreciation, provisions and other adjustments, prepare the full financial statement set and assemble audit-ready schedules.
5.Hand-over and coordinate with the auditor
We deliver the statements and schedules to the independent CPA, coordinate queries and clear preliminary findings.
Statutory deadlines
- A registered company must prepare financial statements within 1 month of the financial year-end for shareholder meeting (s.112 Accounting Act).
- Financial statements and the annual report must be filed with the DBD within 5 months of the financial year-end.
- An auditor must be appointed within 1 month of the financial year-end and form SorTor. 60 filed.
- Form SorChor. 1 (submission of financial statements) is due within 5 months of the financial year-end.
Before you decide
- The auditor must be independent — not the bookkeeper — to preserve auditor independence under law.
- Missing source documents lead to incomplete postings and may affect the financial statements.
- Misclassifying capital vs. revenue expenditure can change profit and tax.
- We do not guarantee the audit outcome; the independent CPA forms the opinion during the audit.
Frequently asked questions
Why doesn't the office issue the audit opinion itself?
Law requires the audit to be performed by an independent CPA. By preparing the books and handing them to an independent auditor we preserve the independence required under the Accounting Act B.E. 2523.
Which standards are the financial statements prepared under?
They are prepared under Thai Financial Reporting Standards (TFRS), broadly aligned with IFRS, and sized appropriately to the business.
What documents are needed to start bookkeeping?
Company registration copy, tax invoices, bank slips, lease agreements and the payroll register; if prior books exist, the latest trial balance too.
How does monthly bookkeeping differ from year-end close?
Monthly work is recording and reconciliation to show monthly position; year-end adds depreciation, provisions and full financial statements for the auditor.
What happens if source documents are missing?
We flag the gaps and help retrieve documents from banks or counterparties; where unavailable we record from existing evidence and note the limitation in the working papers.
Does the office serve all business types?
We serve limited companies, partnerships and general SMEs; for highly complex entities such as funds or financial institutions we assess before accepting.
When are statements handed to the auditor?
Within the statutory window for preparing financial statements, normally right after year-end close so the auditor has time before the DBD filing deadline.
How are fees quoted?
We quote in writing after surveying the scope and document volume; there is no fixed price before seeing the actual work.
