What is Certified True Copy?
Confirmation that a copy matches an original that the certifier has inspected.

The certifier must see the original, compare it page by page with the copy, then sign, seal and add the certifying wording. The act confirms only that the copy matches the original; it does not verify the truth of the contents or the lawful issuance of the original. Foreign universities and banks commonly request documents in this form.
