Premises licences
Manufacturers need compliant production premises; importers need an import licence and approved storage. Prepare layouts and evidence of right to use the site.
Cosmetics need prior notification
Under the Cosmetic Act 2015, manufacturers or importers notify products before manufacture or import. Check prohibited and restricted substances in the formula.
Thai labels and claims
Labels need prescribed Thai information. Health or therapeutic claims are restricted, and cosmetics may not claim drug effects. Check wording before printing or advertising.
Overseas manufacturers
Foreign makers cannot usually file directly; a Thai importer is responsible. Certificates from the maker or origin authority may be required and may need document certification.
