Notary Public advisory
We start from the destination, not the stamp. Our Lawyers Council of Thailand–registered Notarial Services Attorneys, with 15+ years of combined cross-border practice, advise on declaration wording, signing authority and the correct order of downstream legalization steps.

Advisory scope
- Map the receiving authority's exact requirements (university, court, bank, embassy, foreign registrar)
- Select the correct instrument: signature authentication, affidavit, certified true copy, or translation certification
- Review draft wording and corporate signing authority before the signing appointment
- Plan downstream steps: Department of Consular Affairs, embassy attestation, Apostille once in force
What you receive
- Written advisory note via LINE/email listing every step in order
- A case-specific document checklist
- Sealed original plus a high-resolution scanned PDF
- Notarial register reference number for later verification
How we work
1. Share the case
Tell us the destination country, receiving body and deadline; send document photos for a first check
2. Assess and plan
The attorney determines the instrument required and the downstream chain, with a realistic timeline
3. Draft review
We prepare or review the declaration so the wording and name spelling match your passport and the destination rules
4. Signing appointment
Sign before the attorney at our office or at an arranged meeting inside our service areas
5. Delivery and follow-up
Immediate PDF, tracked hardcopy dispatch, and continued advice if the receiver requests amendments
Common pitfalls
- Name spelling that differs from the passport — the single most common rejection
- Certifying a copy when the receiver accepts originals only
- A signatory who is not authorised under the latest company affidavit
- Skipping the consular or embassy step the destination still requires
Do it yourself vs delegate
Do it yourself when
If the document stays in Thailand and the receiver has published clear wording, you can handle it yourself with the original, your passport and a complete draft.
Delegate to us when
For cross-border filings, tight deadlines or corporate bundles, let us run the whole chain — drafting, review, notarization and downstream legalization — so a rejection does not cost you another cycle.
Frequently asked questions
Can I get advice before committing?
Yes. Send the document images and the destination authority via LINE @Thainotary and our attorneys will assess the correct route first.
Is a Thai notary the same as a foreign Notary Public?
In Thailand the work is performed by Notarial Services Attorneys registered with the Lawyers Council of Thailand, who authenticate signatures, administer oaths and certify true copies — accepted by most foreign authorities.
Do I need to attend in person?
Signature authentication requires signing before the attorney, either at our office or at an arranged meeting within our service areas.
What happens after notarization?
It depends on the destination: some accept the attorney's certification directly, others require consular and/or embassy attestation. Our advisory note states which applies.
What do corporate documents need?
The latest company affidavit, ID or passport of the authorised director, and the company seal where used.
If the receiver rejects it, do we start over?
Usually not. We review the stated reason and correct only the defective element, then advise on resubmission.
